A Small Book With a HUGE Message!

The Day Heaven Took a Taxi
The Day Heaven Took a Taxi

I just finished reading The Day Heaven Took A Taxi by Linda Anderson, and I have to say—this little book packed a BIG punch!

At only 74 pages, you might think this would be a quick, simple read. But Linda tells a story that is short, powerful, deeply personal, and incredibly inspirational.

The book centers around a difficult time when Linda’s daughter was living in a group home because of unexplained absences from school. Linda was devastated when she was told by her daughter’s lawyer that she could not speak to her own daughter. She felt broken and almost defeated. She had to appear in court the following day and tell her side of the story to the judge.

Then something amazing happened.

That night, Linda had a dream. Jesus came from Heaven in a yellow taxi, carrying a briefcase. He was her attorney, and He presented her with a Bill of Rights—the rights she has as a child of God.

I absolutely LOVED this part of the story!

Linda beautifully explains the meaning behind the dream. The briefcase represented that Jesus was serious and “about business.” He was fighting her battle. And the yellow taxi reminded her that Jesus may not always show up in the way we expect Him to, but He will show up.

The next day, Linda walked into that courtroom with a completely different confidence. She knew she wasn't walking in there alone. She had surrendered the situation to God and trusted Him to fight her battle.

When Linda finally had the opportunity to speak, she explained that she was a good mother and that making sure her daughter went to school was a priority. She had personally watched her daughter walk through the school gates every morning. What Linda didn't know was that her daughter was leaving the school after Linda drove away.

The judge listened. He believed Linda. The case was dismissed, and eventually her daughter returned home with a new appreciation for her mother and for the importance of school.

But what touched me most was not just the outcome. It was the message behind the story.

Linda reminded me that sometimes we pray and expect God to answer our prayers one particular way. But God sees what we cannot see. His answer may look completely different from what we imagined—and sometimes it can be far greater than anything we could have expected.

This book reminded me that I need to stop carrying things that God has asked me to give to Him. Surrender. Trust. Believe.

Linda's writing is so descriptive that I could see everything happening as I read. I felt like I was right there with her, experiencing the fear, the heartbreak, the dream, the courtroom, and ultimately the victory.

The Day Heaven Took A Taxi is more than a story about a mother and her daughter. It is a reminder that God is still in the business of showing up.

Linda, I am so proud of you for sharing this story and allowing us to witness such a personal part of your journey. ❤️

If you're looking for a short read with a BIG message, I highly recommend The Day Heaven Took A Taxi.

Sometimes Heaven doesn't arrive the way we expect it to. Sometimes Heaven takes a taxi. 🚕💛
