Toxic Traits Movie Review

I love movies with a fatal attraction theme, so when I found out Toxic Traits was streaming

on Tubi, Peacock, and Amazon Prime, I put it on my watchlist. Last night, I had a chance to view the film, starring Courtney, Nichole, Jamald Gardner, Cecilia Warren, and Karl Duckett. The thriller takes place in Las Vegas—a perfect backdrop for the suspenseful film co-produced, written, and directed by Renee S. Warren Peoples and Bobby Peoples, which had me on the edge of my seat.

Eric Brooks, wonderfully played by Jamald Gardner, has recently been dumped by his longtime girlfriend, Dina Moore, beautifully played by Cecilia Warren. Down in the dumps, his lifelong friend, Sterling Ward, fearlessly played by Karl Duckett, tries to encourage him to start dating again and in doing so, he introduces Eric to a new dating App. That’s where Eric meets Regina Lane, a role that Courtney Nicole slays. She ate this role and left no crumbs. She was more than convincing as a woman who suffered from Othello syndrome. And yes, it’s a real thing. It’s a type of paranoid delusional jealousy.

Eric and Regina embark upon a whirlwind romance. Eric is so caught up that he misses the red flags that come with Regina. His best friend, Karl, tries to warn him, but Eric is blinded by lust and love. I don’t want to giveaway too much, but when you watch this film, you will be shook. I was on the edge of my seat and jumping out of my skin with anxiety, wondering what was going to happen—afraid for Eric and the people close to him. Would he survive Regina? How would it all turn out? You have to watch the film to find out the answers

to those questions.

Courtney Nichole and Jamald Gardner co-produced the film.
